Description

Product description

Reduction Couplings are designed to connect high-pressure pipelines with different nominal diameters while maintaining reliable pressure integrity.
Manufactured by Shandong Yukos Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd., these forged steel fittings are used in hydraulic fracturing systems, wellhead equipment, high-pressure injection units, drilling fluid systems, and refinery piping where durable transition connections are required. Products are available in standard API configurations or manufactured according to customer drawings and project specifications.

Applications

Reduction Couplings are used to connect pipelines of different diameters in high-pressure fluid systems while maintaining smooth flow transition and secure sealing performance.
Typical applications include:

01/

Hydraulic Fracturing Systems – Connecting flowlines and manifolds with different pipe sizes in high-pressure fracturing operations.

02/

High-Pressure Injection Equipment – Used on carbon dioxide injection units, reciprocating pumps, and water injection systems.

03/

Wellhead and Pressure Control Equipment – Suitable for wellhead assemblies, choke and kill lines, and pressure control systems.

04/

Chemical and Acidizing Operations – Used for fluid transfer in systems handling corrosive media, including CO₂, H₂S, and high-salinity produced water.

05/

Refinery and Petrochemical Piping – Applied in high-pressure process pipelines requiring reliable diameter transitions.

Manufacturing Process

Reduction Couplings are manufactured from forged steel rather than cast components to improve structural consistency and mechanical performance in high-pressure service.
The manufacturing process includes:
• Forged steel blank preparation
• Heat treatment
• Precision CNC machining
• Thread machining
• Vacuum carburizing
• Surface protection
• Final inspection
To ensure consistent product quality, production is managed under an API Q1 quality management system together with an ERP-based manufacturing system for production control and material traceability.

Quality Assurance

Each production batch can be traced by heat number, and products are inspected according to customer requirements. Available inspection services include:
• Dimensional inspection
• Thread inspection
• Ultrasonic testing (UT)
• Hydrostatic pressure testing
• Material verification
• Third-party inspection upon request
For applications in Russia, Kazakhstan, and other CIS markets, optional anti-corrosion coatings are available for cold-climate and corrosive operating environments.

Manufacturing Capacity

Founded in 2011, Shandong Yukos Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing oilfield equipment, high-pressure piping components, and pressure control equipment.
The manufacturing facility covers 35,000 m², including 18,000 m² of production workshops, and is equipped with more than 80 sets of CNC machining centers, horizontal and vertical machining centers, large boring and milling machines, CNC lathes, and automated production equipment.
Annual production capacity includes:
• More than 550 hydraulic fluid ends and piston pumps
• More than 1,500 tons of oilfield equipment, high-pressure piping components, and spare parts
Products are supplied to major domestic oil companies, including CNPC, Sinopec, and CNOOC, and exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, the Middle East, and other international markets. The company operates under certified management systems including API Q1, API 6A, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
